COVINGTON – George Raymond Lucas, 76, of Covington, a retired bus driver, died Saturday evening in Highland General Hospital at Sebring, Fla. He was born Jan. 20, 1900, at Covington. He was married to Fern McKinnery. Surviving are a son, Robert, of St. John; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Ingram, Mrs. Rosetta Rathburn, and Mrs. Margaret Lessner, all of Hammond; two sisters, Mrs. Fred (Elsie) Walters of Rt. 1, Covington and Mrs. N. G. (Grace) Lang of Tuscola, Ill.; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home at Covington with Duane Hopkins officiating Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. – jlr
